Welcome!

Hello! My name is Jennifer McCarthy, I am the owner and founder of Doggone Lucky Pet Services. I've been a resident of Hillsborough, NJ since 2006. I worked in corporate for over 28 years. Now that I'm no longer working in corporate, I decided to pursue my passion, working with animals. I get such joy spending time with my dogs, going on hikes, morning and evening walks. Exercise and mental stimulation are key elements to a happy dog.

My experience consists of taking care of dogs for family, friends and co-workers including dog walking and pet sitting. I've also helped at rescues providing fostering and walking of rescue dogs. I'm a member of Pet Sitters International and have taken many courses on pet care. In 2021, I completed my certification as a Certified Professional Pet Sitter. In 2022, I became certified as a Fear Free Pet Sitter. I'm currently studying Pet First Aid and CPR through Pet Sitters International.

My family has always included dogs. I currently have two canine babies both rescued at different times. My wish is for all homeless dogs to find families and live out their life happy, cared for and loved.

I have trained every dog that I've ever had. This is a picture of Lupo. I was fostering him and training him to be the best dog so he would find a home. However, by the time he was trained, he became our dog and part of our family. So, I guess I would say he was my first foster failure. We continued training and he went on to become a Certified Pet Therapy Dog through The Bright & Beautiful Therapy Dogs, Inc.
